Great Start Kids Foundation
At Great Start Karate, we believe every child deserves the chance to discover their own strength, focus, and confidence through the life-changing benefits of martial arts. That belief inspired us to begin establishing the Great Start Kids Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping underprivileged children and families access quality online karate training and life-skill development programs.
The Foundation will help us reach more children — creating opportunities for growth, focus, and confidence through the power of martial arts education. We believe that reaching kids early can give them a true head start in life — building positive habits, self-belief, and resilience that last far beyond the dojo.
Our mission is to provide martial arts scholarships for kids that remove financial barriers and open the door to high-quality karate instruction, character development, and community connection for families in need. Once fully established, the Great Start Kids Foundation will offer annual scholarships to help underserved youth participate in Great Start Karate’s live, online classes for kids. Scholarship recipients will join our structured
belt-progression system, monthly life-skill lessons, and engaging online events that
keep them active, connected, and motivated.
Our vision is simple but powerful: to ensure that financial limitations never stand in the way of a child discovering their inner strength — learning to focus, persevere, and feel
proud of what they can achieve through martial arts.
